Psalms 138:2 says: ...for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.
God’s name and God’s word is exalted above all things. We ask skeptics, what does the word ALL mean?
If another religion exalts any person or anyone’s word above God and His word, they are embracing a false god and false gospel.
Since His name and His Word are exalted above ALL things, Joseph Smith, polygamy, the Book of Mormon, the Mormon Doctrine and Covenants, their Pearl of Great Price as well as their living prophets are not worth much - because God’s word is above and exalted above everything else. We can trust that God can and does keep His promises, or we can refuse to believe God - but in choosing not to believe Him is choosing our own condemnation. Choose God and His Word - you cannot lose by trusting Him.
Psalms 119:99: I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
2 Timothy 3:15-17: … from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
We thank you for your support and prayers that enable us to bring Biblical truths to polygamists.
MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY
~ It all began with Joseph Smith ~
Copied from pages 23-24; EXPOSE OF POLYGAMY IN UTAH. A LADY'S LIFE AMONG THE MORMONS. A RECORD OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AS ONE OF THE WIVES OF A MORMON ELDER DURING A PERIOD OF MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS. BY Mrs. T. B. H. STENHOUSE, OF SALT LAKE CITY.
“I now became better acquainted with Mormonism, as I was able to go more among the Saints. But I lost confidence in the missionary brethren when I saw how familiarly they conducted themselves with the young "sisters;" for I knew that the elders I allude to were married men. They taught the "sisters," both married and single, that it was their privilege to wash the elders' feet, and to comb their hair and in fact to wait on them in every way imaginable. This I mean literally. There was nothing symbolical about it, and many of our silly girls liked nothing better. I saw even then that this was not right, and it annoyed me greatly.
“With the President of the London Conference and his family I was well acquainted, and I knew that this man came down from London to the Southampton Conference about every two or three weeks, to court a young "sister." He supplied her with money, and otherwise acted in a way which appeared to me almost scandalous. His conduct shook the faith of some of the older Saints [Mormons]. In these days the elders would take young girls to the theatres and other places of amusement, while their own wives remained at home. I sincerely believe now that many of these men taught Polygamy to the girls, while they denied it to the public.
“I felt lonely, wretched, and disappointed in my religion, though I still believed it. Yet I dared not ask my husband to abandon his mission and come home. I resolved that I would try to endure to the end. Then, too, I knew that even at the worst he would return some time, and all my troubles, I felt, would then be ended; for I believed that he would be able to explain all to me — yes, every thing.” Pgs 23-24
“Those of the Swiss [Mormon] pilgrims who escaped the scourge of the cholera were only spared to realize that other scourge — Polygamy.
“Many a time, amidst the horrors of polygamous "Zion," have faithful wives, who passed unscathed through that terrible plague, wished that it might have been their own fate to have perished with their countrywomen on the desert wilds.” Pgs 42-43
“... during a year's residence in London, I never met a happily married woman in the Mormon Church who did not abhor [polygamy]. They were submissive to its teachings, as it had no immediate results there; but it troubled them terribly and rendered them miserable when they thought of going to Utah.” pg 45
THE GREAT APOSTASY—According to Mormonism:
Joseph Smith in his first vision of 1820 was told by Christ that all existing churches had gone astray, both in their teachings and in their practice, although they had "a form of godliness" they were all corrupt and so were their ministers. Thus it was necessary for a "restoration" of the gospel to take place. They refer to it as the Great Apostasy, and God appointed Joseph Smith to restore the lost Gospel of the New Testament.
They believe that after Jesus died and His apostles passed away the true gospel died with them. In 1840 Orson Pratt spoke of "a general and awful apostasy from the religion of the New Testament" and that there was no true authority from God for priesthood, baptism and ordinances of the Gospel to be administered. They use Bible scriptures as their proof texts, Acts 20:28-30; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
Joseph Smith’s Mormonism restored the original gospel that had been lost, the supposed restoration includes polygamy, priesthood, celestial kingdoms, men becoming gods etc.
BUT THE BIBLE SAYS:
They however, did not and do not know the Scriptures or the power of God and His faithfulness to His own word and promises:
Ephesians 3:21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (ESV)
“In debate, George A. Smith said imprisonment was better than hanging”. I replied, I was opposed to hanging, even if a man kill another, I will shoot him, or cut off his head, spill his blood on the ground, and let the smoke thereof ascend up to God; and if ever I have the privilege of making a law on the subject, I will have it so.”

Polygamist Rulon C. Allred's Sermon Quotes:
We continue to share some of the sermons preached by polygamy group found/leader Rulon C. Allred, helping to give you a better understanding of the relentless grip he has had and continues to have on polygamists through the decades.
“Prophet” Rulon Allred talked about the Mormon gospel being taken to France by Mormon missionaries during the time of Napoleon Bonaparte. He said the Mormon missionaries sent Napoleon a note asking that France be opened up to Mormon teachings, he reportedly tore up the note and threw it in the fire. According to Allred, Joseph Smith heard about this rejection and responded like this:
"I want you to get all of the information you can about Josephine, the wife of the Emperor, because she is a good and holy woman, interested in the welfare of the poor and the needy of France. When you get all this information ... you can identify her for temple ordinance, I want her endowments to be done, and I want her sealed to me. I want you to take the names of every noble, good woman in France who is the wife of every man who has refused your request to preach the gospel, who would receive the gospel if they had the opportunity and who are virtuous and holy....I want you to take such holy persons clear back to Constantine's time when the Christian Church became polluted by his murders and his wickedness ... I want you to identify them and have them all sealed to me, because I want these good women if, when they get on the other side, they would rather have a husband who lived the laws of the gospel and can exalt them.... if they want to belong to me, I want to give them the chance of salvation. And I want to do that because their husbands were so damnably mean while they were here." Page 278-279, Treasures of Knowledge, Rulon C. Allred, July 1974
NOTE: Rulon Allred cared little for historical facts it seems.
Napoleon died May 1821.
His wife Josephine died May 1814 - their marriage was annulled in 1810. The Mormon church was founded April 6 1830. It was impossible for the Mormon gospel to have been taken to Napoleon.
“Several of the patriarchs as well as other biblical figures had multiple wives, and God never corrected
or condemned them for this behavior. If multiple marriages were acceptable for them, why do you say they are unacceptable today? After all, God is eternal and unchanging. Adultery is generally held to mean having sex with a woman to whom you are not married (or less commonly, sex with a woman who is married to someone else). So long as Smith et al. did in fact marry these several women, how were their relationships adulterous?” --DG
“God the Father having sex with his daughter is BEYOND offensive and disgusting! They're calling God incestuous... no wonder so many Mormons sexually abuse their own daughters as well as other related children.” --CM
NOTE: This is in response to a show where we talked about the Mormon belief that God the Father had literal sex with Mary to conceive the baby Jesus. Since Mormonism believes God the Father is the literal father of all humans through sexual union, incest is part of their belief system.
“My understanding is that Joseph Smith prophecies were not fulfilled and that the events mentioned in the book of Mormon aren't verified by historians neither by archeologist.” --SS
ANSWER: Dozens of Smith’s prophecies never came to pass.
- Pray for a mother who suffers from being raised in a polygamy group. She is a believer but her past continues to haunt her. The extreme patriarchy that rules every female often causes long-term emotional upsets. Pray for God’s peace, comfort and provision.
- Pray that Mormon polygamists will revere God’s word higher than the words and rhetoric of Joseph Smith.
Joseph Smith the founder of Mormon polygamy
is highly revered in the LDS religion. Several years ago,
one LDS man turned his backyard into a garden filled
with huge Mormon icons called the Gilgal Garden.
In it we find a sphinx of Joseph Smith, he believed
the LDS church holds the keys to ancient Sphinxs’
riddles and mysteries.
