Dear Praying Friends,
“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.” Luke 8:11-12
Jesus taught the parable of the Sower sowing seeds. He explained the “seed is the word of God”, and the devil takes it away so they can’t believe and be saved. Mormonism, and Mormon polygamists do the very work of the devil by saying the Word of God cannot be trusted, that it has been tampered with and corrupted, that the word of Joseph Smith and other Mormon teachers can be trusted and has priority.
The devil’s work is to take away the Word of truth and replace it with error. The result is unbelief in God’s word and the end result is, they perish.
Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
When God’s pure word is rejected, they cannot hear it and thus have no foundation for saving faith.

MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY
~ It all began with Joseph Smith ~
“The entire ownership of women is nowhere more fully assumed by their husbands than it is in Utah. A woman is obliged to submit to every exaction from him, to grant every request, obey every demand. In return, she need expect nothing, not even support. "You are mine, body and soul, but you have no right to claim anything from me more than what I choose to give you," is the attitude of every man in polygamy towards his wives. A "blessed" system, surely! It is no wonder that Brigham talks about the women's "rounding up their shoulders" to bear it....There was not a woman who would not have broken her chains if she could, let the whole Mormon Church call these fetters what they might, and there is not a woman among them to-day who would not slip her fetters if she knew how. It is all very well for the Mormon leaders and their sympathizers in the Gentile world to say that the women are contented, and even happy, in polygamy; the one knows he speaks what is not true; the other tells the tale as it is told to him, refusing to use his eyes, his ears, or his common sense.”

In response to the information that the Mormon church is teaching polygamy to their Sunday school children:
“I understand that D&C 132 [Mormon Polygamy Revelation] was never annulled, but simply set aside. Likewise, the State of Utah has decriminalized polygamy. Are we seeing the stage being set for a reinstitution of polygamy by mainstream Mormon church? Beginning with the children?”
“Why are they teaching polygamy to elementary school children when they vehemently deny that they absolutely don’t practice polygamy today in the mainstream church! Baffles the mind!”
In response to Utah removing the criminalization of polygamy:
“It’s savvy of them to decriminalize, rather than legalize polygamy. This way, the husband is only legally responsible for the first wife. The 2nd and 3rd wives can collect government support as single mothers. Legalizing polygamy would have made him legally accountable for every single wife and their children.”
ANSWER: Legalizing polygamy would open several other cans of worms. There would be insurance problems. Inheritance problems, changing of laws that now apply to monogamous marriages. Divorce, alimony, child support mega-problems. Making polygamy legal would create more problems than society would know how to deal with.

LIFE IN POLYGAMY - TOM GREEN:
Before he was ever charged, the Green family
paraded its polygamist lifestyle before national audiences for
more than a decade. Green had six wives and 29 children.
He was ultimately charged with four counts of third-degree
felony bigamy and one count of criminal non-support. The felony charges carried a prison term of up to five years.
Green was also charged with first-degree felony rape of a child for allegedly having sexual relations with a 13- year-old girl an offence that carries a prison term of five years to life. Green served six years in prison. He passed away, without Christ, in 2021.

POLYGAMISTS USE OF GASLIGHTING AND PROPAGANDA: Review of Allred Polygamy Group booklet entitled: “Whose Night is it Anyway?”
This little booklet has only 22 pages but is filled with the most awful propaganda encouraging miserable plural wives to “buck up, keep sweet, grin-and-bear-it” because God will reward them in heaven. Each page is a letter, or a poem written by a mythical person, most of them having a biblical name such as, Hannah, Martha, Mary, Sarah and so on.
The bottom line is that everyone knows polygamy is a miserable way to live, that women in particular are watching how her husband treats his other wives to be sure that she is being treated fairly. The cover is particularly offensive in its use of three small children, two girls and a boy, the boy kissing one of the girls. Surely this appeals to the polygamist with pedophile tendencies. The title Whose Night is it Anyway? is blatantly suggestive; its subject and contents should not be focused on presenting small children as an illustration.
Of course, using the names of Mary and Martha as authors of the booklet serves to confirm to the polygamist their belief that Jesus was a polygamist and these two sisters were among his wives.
MARY’S STORY:
 Mary Batchelor was a plural wife and an outspoken advocate for plural marriage for many years. But God had His own special plan for Mary and it wasn’t polygamy. This is the first part of Mary’s journey from being a believer in polygamy to saving faith in Jesus Christ:
“Almost two years ago, I found Jesus, and He wasn’t who I thought He was. I do feel like I’ve known Him my entire life, but I had clothed Him in false ideas of who He was, and specifically who He was to me. When covid shut everything down, I really dedicated myself to prayer. I prayed several hours every morning before work, and started studying the Bible. I read everything I could get my hands on, the Apocrypha, the Septuagint, the Feast Days, every prophecy in the Old Testament that foretold of Jesus – all the words of Jesus. I listened to the Bible while I went on my daily walks. I completely surrendered myself to the Lord and told Him I wanted to be His disciple and follow Him. I asked Him to remove any false beliefs, thinking that ideas of man had become entwined in my beliefs along the way – but I never thought that would include Mormonism. Or polygamy.
It hit me while I was reading The Gospel of John:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made
through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1-4)
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...” (John 1:14)
“This was a huge shift. I literally felt like something fell off my eyes. I thought, if the Word “was God” and “became flesh”, then Joseph Smith WAS WRONG. I was a 54 year old grandma, married 33 years, three of those years in polygamy. My entire life, I believed what I had been taught, that ADAM was God; that “what man is God once was, and what God is man can become”, that Adam’s fall was by God’s own design, a necessary evil to bring about the eventual exaltation of mankind through eternal progression from spirit bodies, to mortal probation, to resurrection. It was all a lie.”

John 4:23-24 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

We praise God for every opportunity to serve Him by explaining Biblical truths to polygamists. The answer to every doubt and question can be found in the Bible. God has foreseen each error and obstacle the devil and mankind will invent to turn people from the truth to a lie. Therefore, we can refute each error with the truth of God’s revealed and enduring Word. May God be pleased to continue drawing people out of Mormon polygamy to Jesus Christ.
